Management Traineeship Scheme, also known as Management Trainee Program, is designed to develop a person's leadership ability, management skills, situational handling, teamwork, relationship management and other critical aspects of a manager.

Workshop for Manager Trainees

We provide a holistic Management Traineeship Program which emphasize substantially on relationship building and team management. During the training, our trainer will impart useful and meaningful techniques necessary to motivate, lead and inspire a team to excel. It is important for the trainees to participate and demonstrate their understanding, apply what they have learned and be bold to communicate their ideas. For every batch of management trainees, we will select some of them to continue their career journey with us. The selected trainees are the ones whom we think fit very well with our organization and we are committed to develop them further. It is part of our leadership renewal and succession planning process. These trainees need not have to score extremely well in their academic studies. We are not looking at the academic results for selection. We take in trainees with average to good academic results. If you academic results are not so good, we are still open to accepting you into our Management Traineeship Program. We are looking for individuals with the willingness to lead, are creative, bold and have the courage to communicate and motivate a team. If you think you fit into this category, we welcome you to give it a try regardless of your grades in school.

In the process of training managers

Management training is getting more important in this dynamic business environment. Managers must be creative when implementing processes and dealing with team issues. Being a good manager requires the ability to communicate well, manage uncertainty, think quickly, be responsible and accountable, provide coaching, close performance gap, attend to non-performing staff and counsel them when necessary. We provide our trainees with the opportunities to deal with all situation including adverse situation. We need them to turn a negative situation into positive.

Best Practices to be included in Management Traineeship Scheme

Let us discuss the best practices for Management Traineeship Program.

Importance of Communication Skill

Focus on communication skill. With the advancement of technology, we discover that verbal communication skill of managers have deteriorated over time. As such, more effort is needed to train the candidates on effective communication so that the team can be aligned and can work towards the same goal.

Handling Non-Performers

Managing non-performers is an area which many of us shy away from because it is unpleasant to deal with. However, it is often the non-performers who will affect the team adversely and they need to pull up their socks or be dismissed from the team as soon as possible. This area will include counselling the non-performers.

Recommended Practice for Management Traineeship Program

Learn to Delegate

Delegating work to the team and assistance is another area which the managers have to learn. Many managers are too reluctant to delegate their work. Without delegating, they do not have the time for strategic planning. As such, it affects their performance. We want the managers to be able to delegrate their work. Learn how to guide the staff on performing repetitive tasks. Decision making of low risk area can be delegated to the assistant managers. This is also a way to groom and prepare the assistant managers for promotion. Effectively delegating the work and responsibilities will enable the managers to set aside more time and thoughts for high risk and high stake issues.

Creative Thinking and Asking "Why Not?"

Thinking out of the box and be creative to get employees to be more productive. Getting managers to keep asking themselves "Why Not We Do It Another Way?" is important to streamline processes and create a more productive team.
